Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gepetto Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Scott might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cliffs Of Dover By Eric Johnson. Jason Scott could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gepetto Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gepetto Gracie!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott clinches up against the cage.

Scott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Scott throws a head kick that half lands.
The fight stays on the outside here - Scott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Scott which made him look bad.

Scott darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage.

Scott manages to break the clinch.
Scott really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Scott has closed the distance and engaged Gracie in a clinch.

Gracie has his takedown stuffed

and Scott counters by clinching up.

Scott works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Gracie throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from.

Scott gets to his feet. Gracie looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Scott counters with a nice uppercut.
Jason Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gepetto Gracie.
Scott tries to clinch but Gracie is having none of it.

and Scott counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Scott.

Scott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Scott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Scott pushes Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie jumps guard but Scott turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Scott misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gracie.
A frustrated look appears on Scott's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Scott has Gracie pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Scott pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gracie tumbling to the mat - Scott dives into Gracie's guard.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Scott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Scott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Scott reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Scott taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gracie!
