The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simms doesn't manage to clinch there - Trenton circles away.
Simms shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trenton as he jumps to the side.
Simms ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Trenton is trying to control Simms's posture but Simms avoids it.

Trenton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trenton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Trenton uses his free foot to push down on Simms's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Simms.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Simms defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Trenton.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trenton swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Simms is now in Trenton's guard. A big mistake from Trenton there, giving up the dominant position!
Simms stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trenton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Simms is pushing down on Trenton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Trenton is fighting to maintain full guard but Simms has managed to sneak the leg through.

Simms has control of Trenton's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Trenton regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Trenton is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Simms has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Trenton is looking to defend but Simms has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Trenton! Simms pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Trenton taps out and this one is all over!
