Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Manero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brennan Fray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manero comes to the cage accompanied by Night Fever - The Bee Gees. Brennan Fray will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brennan Fray!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manero throws a leg kick but Fray checks it.

Fray shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Manero's guard.
Fray chips away with some ground and pound.
Fray throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fray scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Manero to see if he's OK.

Manero on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Manero tries to get out of the position.

Fray landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fray lands with a punch from half guard.
Manero might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Fray thows a huge punch but Manero dodges it nicely.
Fray slips a nice elbow through Manero's hands, connecting with Manero's forehead.
Fray looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Manero with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fray working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Manero on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Fray passes the guard and advances to mount!

Fray has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Manero's face.
Manero is desperately trying to improve his position but Fray has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fray cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Manero tries to lock up and control but Fray gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Fray has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Manero's face.

Manero is rocked!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fray postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Manero in real trouble here! The ref calls for Manero to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brennan Fray!
