Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. Cartman has chosen Roy Jones - Can't be Touched as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartman dodges the punch combination from Rose.
Rose fails to land with a series of punches.
Rose has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cartman finds it's way round the side to connect with Rose's head.
Rose misses with a takedown attempt
and Cartman counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rose shoots in but Cartman avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Rose drives through with a takedown into Cartman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Cartman scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cartman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rose misses with a series of wild punches.
Rose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cartman.

Rose dives in and grabs Cartman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cartman pushes down on Rose's head and hops out.

Cartman throws a nice outside leg kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cartman is defended easily by Rose.
Rose wants to clinch
and Cartman counters with a big head kick but Rose shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sloppy strikes from Rose. Those never looked like landing.
Rose changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cartman tries to avoid it but Rose manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cartman to the ground. Cartman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cartman shoots in for a takedown but Rose shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rose takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Cartman.

Rose clinches up with Cartman and pushes him back against the cage.
Cartman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rose.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Cartman tries a head kick but it misses.
Rose shoots for a double leg takedown but Cartman sprawls well. He's pushed Rose's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rose looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cartman is fending him off so far but Rose persists. Nope, Cartman circles away and we're back to standing.

Cartman darts in and clinches Rose up against the cage.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cartman swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rose fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cartman to the ground. Rose is now in Cartman's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cartman wants to stand and escape but Rose is having none of it.
Rose seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Cartman leaves Rose with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A combination from Cartman does no damage.

Rose moves into the clinch successfully.
Rose can't get the takedown.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rose takes a kick to the side of the head.
Rose misses with the combination.

Rose shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cartman sprawls well. Cartman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rose gets slowly back to his feet.

Cartman throws a leg kick but Rose sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Cartman cracks Rose with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rose tries to close the distance and clinch but Cartman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The referee is keeping an eye on Cartman - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Cartman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rose scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rose trying to control the position but Cartman is working away.
Cartman pushes Rose away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rose gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

No luck for Rose with that takedown attempt.
Rose tries to bum rush Cartman with a series of wild strikes but Cartman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

A chopping leg kick lands by Cartman.
Cartman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rose sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cartman somewhat.
Cartman circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rose takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Rose feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cartman wants to stand but Rose is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rose wants to control from the top but Cartman keeps moving.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rose won't allow Cartman to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Leroy Rose just wasn't active enough.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leroy Rose.
