PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Akbar Hussein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hussein moves away.
Hussein blocks a head kick by Jones.
Jones wants to land a leg kick but Hussein is out of range.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
Jones misses with a wild combination.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hussein counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hussein feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Joness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jones throws a head kick that misses
and Hussein makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Hussein counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now.
Jones looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Hussein stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.
Hussein could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hussein passes into half guard.
Hussein is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hussein passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Jones!
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Hussein throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Jones has his hands clasped together but Hussein breaks the hold and Jones is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hussein!
