Tharis comes to the cage accompanied by Burning down the house. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Bader!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bader fails with a takedown attempt.
Bader shoots for a takedown but Tharis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tharis clinches up against the cage.
Bader tries to pull guard but Tharis won't allow it.
Jon Tharis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Bader.
Nice elbow from Tharis.

It looks like Ryan Bader has been cut.
Tharis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bader blocks it with crossed arms.
Tharis stalling against the cage.
Bader takes an elbow to the forehead.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Tharis goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Bader is trying to break the clinch but Tharis is controlling him.
A knee to the head by Tharis.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tharis tries to land knees in the clinch but Bader avoids the damage to the body.
Bader wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tharis has him pressed against the cage.

Tharis lands a body shot in the clinch.
Bader looks gassed!
Tharis slowing the pace effectively.
Tharis misses with a punch to the body.
Tharis lands a nice knee to the body.
Tharis lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bader backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Tharis obliges.
Tharis is struggling to control the position.

Tharis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bader tries to keep at a distance but Tharis has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tharis lands an elbow inside.
Tharis dips a shoulder and cracks Bader with a mighty uppercut! Bader falls back against the cage and Tharis unloads with a barrage of strikes! Bader is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Tharis screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Tharis!
