The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ribeiro takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Marconi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ribeiro has him pressed against the cage.
Ribeiro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marconi just stands there and leans against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marconi tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Marconi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Ribeiro tries to pull guard but Marconi holds him up against the cage and eventually Ribeiro drops back down to his feet.
Ribeiro blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Ribeiro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Marconi to keep the fight standing.
Ribeiro keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marconi's efforts to push away.

Marconi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ribeiro's guard.

Marconi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ribeiro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ribeiro is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Ribeiro manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Marconi on his heels. He'll look to pass Marconi's guard now, I'm sure.
