The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSweeny throws a series of punches but Pashurinko avoids them all with ease.
Pashurinko throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McSweeny misses with the combination.
McSweeny keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Eliott McSweeny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McSweeny stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McSweeny wants it to stay on the feet.
McSweeny ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

The fighters circle momentarily. McSweeny darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
McSweeny throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Pashurinko counters with a takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McSweeny is pushing Pashurinko's head away, looking to escape. Pashurinko manages to hold on to the position though.
McSweeny takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pashurinko wants to lay and pray for a moment but McSweeny keeps working.
Pashurinko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Pashurinko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McSweeny knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Pashurinko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pashurinko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McSweeny is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pashurinko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pashurinko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McSweeny is trying to escape the position but Pashurinko is controlling the position.

Pashurinko is trying to get an arm triangle but McSweeny is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McSweeny is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pashurinko asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Pashurinko has hold of McSweeny's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McSweeny seems comfortable defending it but Pashurinko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McSweeny is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McSweeny is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pashurinko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
