Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Archer Christian!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Boxer!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Christian as Boxer shoots in.

Christian rushes Boxer and presses him up against the cage.
Boxer is looking to break free of the clinch but Christian has double underhooks.
Christian stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Boxer is looking for a takedown.
Boxer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Christian manages to break the clinch.
Boxer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Christian thuds a left hand into Boxer's body.
Boxer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Christian swivels and escapes.
Archer Christian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Boxer.
A shot to the liver by Christian. Beautiful body shot.
Christian dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Boxer. That did some damage!
Boxer looks gassed!

Christian connects with a crisp jab.

Boxer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Christian cracks Boxer with a right hand to the side of the head.
Christian throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boxer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Christian has taken the fight to the clinch.

Christian gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Christian trying to mount his opponent but Boxer defends it.
Christian stalling.

Boxer is looking for a sweep. Christian is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boxer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Christian scores with a couple of nice shots.

Boxer looking for submissions off his back.

Christian is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Still in half guard, Christian seems content to control.
Christian seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Boxer wants to improve his position but Christian is controlling well.

Christian throwing shots but Boxer is blocking nicely.
It looks like Christian is going to stand back up.
Boxer manages to get to full guard.
Christian would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Boxer is looking for a triangle here but Christian uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Boxer tries to buck Christian off but Christian is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christian working away.
Christian lands some shots froms side control.
Boxer trying to remain calm as Christian controls from the top position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Christian decides to stand up, so the ref orders Boxer to his feet.
Boxer checks a leg kick.
Christian moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Christian doesn't manage to clinch there - Boxer circles away.
Boxer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Boxer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Christian.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Archer Christian dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Christian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boxer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boxer walks into a left hand.
Christian is looking to score with low kicks.
The fighters circle momentarily. Christian darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Christian throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Christian misses the shot to the body.
Nice shot by Christian.

Christian lands a big uppercut and Boxer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Boxer looks OK. Christian waves Boxer back to his feet!


Boxer is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boxer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Christian avoids it really well and circles away.
Boxer is still on wobbly legs! Can Christian finish him?
Christian throws a quick inside leg kick.
Boxer is breathing heavily.

Christian scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Christian fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Christian fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boxer, pushing him back against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Christian lands a knee to the body.
Boxer seems to have recovered his senses.
Boxer blocks a body shot from Christian.

Christian gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Boxer regains guard.
Christian wants to stand but Boxer has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Christian controlling from the top position.

Christian got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boxer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Christian has managed to get both his arms back between Boxer's legs - danger averted.

Boxer is working an open guard so Christian takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Christian cracks Boxer with a right hand to the side of the head.

Christian feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Boxer sprawling to the canvas! Boxer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Christian finish him?!
Christian lands a slapping body shot.
Boxer takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That kick from Christian tenderised Boxer's leg. Boxer is trying to keep his angry face on.
Christian throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Christian is looking to wear down Boxer with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Christian scores a takedown into full mount!
Christian content just to control the position here.

Christian stands up from mount. Strange move.
Archer Christian is winning the standup battle so far.

Christian connects with a solid leg kick.
Boxer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Christian lands a nice looking body shot.
Christian scoring well with a low kick there.
Christian connects with a leg kick. Boxer looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Christian closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Boxer quickly recovers to half guard.

Boxer takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The crowd cheers as Christian lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boxer doesn't seem phased though.
Boxer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Boxer tries to get into range but Christian steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Boxer! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Christian scores the big KO victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Archer Christian!
