The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nasri circles away.
Nasri misses with a few strikes there.
Newton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nasri thows a body shot but no joy.
Nasri looks to land a combination but Newton avoids it well.
Newton dodges the punch combination from Nasri.
Nasri throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Newton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nasri's jab looks to have found its range, popping Newton under the eye.

Nasri looks to land a combination but Newton avoids it well.

Nasri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Newton circles away quickly and effectively.

Newton is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nasri looks calm but he's in trouble here. Newton gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nasri is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Newton lets go of the hold and Nasri can pop his arm back in it's socket.
