PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Macaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Killington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Killington has chosen The Jiu Jitsu Song as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Phil Macaw has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Phil Macaw seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Buzz Killington!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macaw looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Killington looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Killington is in trouble now - Macaw has advanced to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macaw throwing strikes here but Killington is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Well, if Macaw is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Macaw's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Killington shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Macaw sprawls well. Macaw wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Killington gets slowly back to his feet.

Oh but Killington is tightening it up a little... Macaw has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Macaw reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Macaw taps out! Nice BJJ there by Killington!
