Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mon Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Just (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Just is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mon Key!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Just!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Key tries to clinch but Just moves out of range.
Just closes the distance and clinches up with Key, looking for a takedown. Just pushes Key against the cage but Key circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Key stuffs the takedown.
Key fails to land the takedown.
Key misses with a takedown attempt - Just sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Key is defended easily by Just.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mon Key. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Just wants to clinch but Key slips to the side

and Key counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Key pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Key has managed to clinch.
Key is trying to drag Just to the mat but Just just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Just prevents the takedown attempt.

Key manages to break the clinch.
Just throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Key.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Key tries to clinch but Just is having none of it.
Key shoots in for a takedown but Just shows good takedown defense.
Just closes the distance but Key moves to the side

and Key moves into the clinch.
Just tries to pull guard but Key forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Just's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Just has Key pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Key manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Just fails to pull guard.
Just can't find room to land a body shot as Key controls the action.
Just is trying to force a seperation but Key has the dominant position.
Just changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Key fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Key keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Just tries for a takedown but Key sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Just swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Just misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Just looks gassed!
Key fails with the takedown.
Just fails with a takedown attempt.
Just fails in his attempt to clinch.

Key moves into the clinch.

Key pulls guard effortlessly.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Key has his feet on Just's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A punch combination from Key misses.
Key keeps the fight on the outside.
Key lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Just tries to clinch
and Key counters with a nice body kick.
Just fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Just fails with the takedown.
Just throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Key's waist but Key gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Just off to one side.
Just moves out of range of the body kick.
Key shoots in looking for a takedown but Just manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Key's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Key shoots in but no luck this time.
Just waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Key.
Key shoots in looking for a takedown. Just tries to sprawl out of it but Key keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Just manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Key tries to clinch up but Just circles away and keeps his distance.
Key stuffs the takedown attempt from Just. Just gets slowly back to his feet.
Just throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Key looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Just tries to close the distance and clinch up but Key swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mon Key dominated that round.
That's time! Key's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Just is looking to clinch but Key is avoiding it.
Mon Key is winning the standup battle so far.
Just throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Key will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Just tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Key counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Key shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Just as he avoids it easily.
Just is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Just shoots in looking for a takedown. Key tries to sprawl out of it but Just keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Key manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Just shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Key as he jumps to the side.
Just is breathing heavily.
Key changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Just tries to avoid it but Key manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Just to the ground. Just escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mon Key. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Key slaps away a takedown attempt from Just, before circling back to the center of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Just tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Key rushes Just with punches - Just moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Just goes down! Key follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mon Key!
