Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Struker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad To the Bone. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommy Struker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nolan Sackett!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Struker moves forwards but Sackett connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Struker throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sackett counters with a nice uppercut.
Struker looks to score with a jab to the body but Sackett is just out of range.
Struker throws a lazy uppercut
and Sackett counters with a solid body kick.
Struker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sackett uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sackett throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sackett displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Struker throws out the jab.

Sackett tries to keep at a distance but Struker has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sackett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Struker uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Struker takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Struker tries a head kick but it misses.

Struker closes the distance and clinches.
Sackett blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

A looping hook to the body misses from Struker. Sackett does a little dance to reset his feet.
Struker throws the left hand but Sackett avoids the punch easily.
Struker takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Tommy Struker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Sackett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Struker moves in looking to clinch but Sackett pushes him off.
Struker throws a sloppy head kick and Sackett moves out of range easily.

Struker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Struker rushes Sackett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sackett lands a nice uppercut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sackett throws a low kick but Struker avoids it.
Sackett steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Struker.
Sackett throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tommy Struker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sackett has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sackett pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sackett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Struker throws a series of punches but Sackett avoids them all with ease.

Struker gets caught flat footed, as Sackett shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Struker keeping moving, preventing Sackett from controlling successfully.
Sackett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Struker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sackett throws a big right hand that misses.
Sackett content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Sackett with a nice head shot there.
Sackett pushing down on Struker's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Struker pushes Sackett off looking to stand but Sackett dives back in and keeps control.
Struker is breathing heavily.

Struker is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sackett scores with a couple of nice shots.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Struker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sackett checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Sackett counters with a three punch combo that has Struker backing up. Struker nods at Sackett to acknowledge the strikes.

Struker throws a series of punches but Sackett avoids them all with ease.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Struker throws a poor cross that misses
and Sackett counters with a slapping leg kick.
Struker stalks Sackett and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sackett's face. Sackett staggers backwards, shaken.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sackett sizes up Struker with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Sackett lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Struker circles away quickly and effectively.
Struker takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sackett dips to his left and cracks Struker with an uppercut!

and Sackett connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Struker bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Struker throws a head kick that Sackett semi-blocks.
