Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Burov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffy Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Russian Rocket. Jefferson has chosen Fette's Vette as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jefferson forces Burov back against the cage and clinches.
Burov blocks an uppercut.

Jefferson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Horrible takedown by Jefferson or perhaps it was just good defense by Burov which made him look bad.
Burov throws a series of punches but Jefferson avoids them all with ease.

and Burov counters with a nice uppercut.
Jeffy Jefferson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Pavel Burov has been cut.
Jefferson avoids the body shot from Burov.
Jefferson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Burov avoids it really well and circles away.
A jab lands there for Jefferson.
Jefferson wants to clinch up but Burov keeps it at a distance.

Jefferson shoots in looking for a takedown. Burov tries to sprawl out of it but Jefferson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Burov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jefferson looks for the body kick but Burov saw that one coming.

Jefferson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Burov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jefferson somewhat.
Burov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Burov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jefferson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Burov throws a hook but Jefferson avoids it easily.
Burov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jefferson throws a series of punches but Burov avoids them all with ease.

Jefferson doesn't manage to clinch there - Burov circles away.
Burov moves out of range as Jefferson throws a body kick.
Burov moves into range and connects with a jab.

Jefferson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burov circles away quickly and effectively.
Jefferson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jefferson tries to close the distance and clinch but Burov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Burov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Jefferson shoots in looking for a takedown but Burov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jefferson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A left lands for Burov.
Burov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jefferson moves away.

Jefferson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Burov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jefferson scrambles back to his feet.

Burov misses with a wild combination.
Jefferson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Burov connects with a body shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Burov. That snapped Jefferson's head back.
Burov scores with a jab. Jefferson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Jefferson switches off momentarily and Burov cracks him with a monster right hand! Jefferson topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Burov dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Burov!

A less than humble Pavel Burov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
