Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Joseph Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant misses the shot to the body.
Stevenson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stevenson shoots in for a double leg but Grant sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Stevenson clinches up against the cage.
Stevenson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Grant gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Stevenson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Grant pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ted Grant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Stevenson.

Stevenson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stevenson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Stevenson has gone for a leg lock! Grant slips out almost immediately though and dives into Stevenson's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ted Grant.

Grant connects with a right hand. Stevenson shakes it off.
Grant slaps away a takedown attempt from Stevenson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Grant lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Stevenson slips under a jab from Grant.
Grant tests Stevenson's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Stevenson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Grant wants to stand and escape but Stevenson is having none of it.
Stevenson passes Grant's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Stevenson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ted Grant dominated that round.
That's time! Grant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Stevenson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Grant lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Grant throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Stevenson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Stevenson slips under a jab from Grant.
No luck for Stevenson with that takedown attempt.
Ted Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grant misses with a jab, cross combination.
Grant throws a shot to the body.
Grant throws a shot from downtown. Stevenson moves away and avoids it.
Grant tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stevenson was well out of range. Poor timing from Grant.

The fighters circle momentarily. Grant darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Grant displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stevenson.
Ted Grant is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Grant throws a body punch but Stevenson moves out of range.
Grant lands with an uppercut that bounces Stevenson off the cage and back into range.
Grant lands with a shot to the body.
Grant fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stevenson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ted Grant is winning the standup battle so far.
Stevenson is breathing heavily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grant lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
