Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Din Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan McCall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas tries to score a power double leg takedown but McCall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thomas somewhat.
McCall takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Thomas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McCall sprawls well initially but Thomas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thomas moves into full mount! McCall won't be happy about that!
McCall in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thomas working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. McCall turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Thomas off and cradles McCall's limp body as Thomas celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Din Thomas!
Din Thomas bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
