Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lipkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alexander Lipkin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Black!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a nice looking combination but Lipkin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Black moves into range and connects with a jab.
Black throws a combination. Lipkin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Alexander Lipkin has been cut.
Alexander Lipkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lipkin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Black throws out the jab.
Lipkin misses with a takedown
and Black counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Black scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Lipkin throws a low kick, looking for Black's leg but Black calmly moves out of range.
Black checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Lipkin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Black keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lipkin tries to move into range but Black moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Black fails with an attempt to clinch.
Black tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lipkin is able to avoid easily.
Lipkin swats away the attempt to clinch by Black.

Lipkin fails with the takedown
and Black counters with a left and a right that stings Lipkin.
Lipkin throws a low kick but Black moves out of range easily.
Lipkin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Lipkin misses with a body shot.
A combination from Black does no damage.
Lipkin avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fighters circling - Black throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A telegraphed right hand from Black misses the target.
Black fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lipkin gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Black.
Lipkin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Black lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lipkin swats away the attempt to clinch by Black.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lipkin.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Black enables Lipkin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Black manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lipkin wants to control from the top but Black keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alexander Lipkin just wasn't active enough.
Black avoids a kick to the body.
The fighters circling - Lipkin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Black pivots, looking for a leg kick but Lipkin is out of range and Black settles back down.
Black lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Lipkin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Black throws a series of punches but Lipkin moves out of range.
Lipkin moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Black looks gassed!
A slapping body kick lands there for Lipkin.
Lipkin fakes the leg kick and cracks Black in the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lipkin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Lipkin lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Lipkin throws a head kick but Black moves out of range.

A head kick misses from Lipkin.
Black throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lipkin explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Lipkin throws a front kick aimed at Black's knee but Black avoids it well.
Black misses with the combination.
Lipkin closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. Lipkin pushes Black against the cage but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Lipkin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lipkin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like John Black has been cut.
Lipkin is looking to chop away at Black's legs.
Lipkin throws a front kick aimed at Black's knee but Black avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Black throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Black lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Black uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lipkin.
John Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Black fails with an attempt to clinch.
Black throws a hook to the side of Lipkin's head but Lipkin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Black checks the leg kick.
Black swinging wildly here.
Sloppy strikes from Black. Those never looked like landing.
John Black is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Black is breathing heavily.

Lipkin scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Black tries to score with a low kick but Lipkin moves his leg out of the way.
Black throws a lazy head kick
and Lipkin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Lipkin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Black has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lipkin throws the kick towards the body but Black avoids it.
Black throws a jab when Lipkin was well out of range.
Lipkin lands with a nice body kick.
Black stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lipkin.
Lipkin throws a leg kick which misses Black's front leg but catches the back leg as Black tries to avoid it.
Black's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Good leg kick by Lipkin there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lipkin is defended easily by Black.
Black tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Lipkin misses with a low kick.
Black takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Lipkin lands with a kick to the temple. Black shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Black swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lipkin misses with a leg kick.
Lipkin looks to score with a jab to the body but Black is just out of range.

Lipkin shoots in and gets a takedown into Black's guard.

Lipkin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Black with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lipkin is trying to control. Black wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lipkin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Black is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Black is squirming around, avoiding Lipkin's attempts to control the action.

Lipkin cracks Black with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Lipkin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lipkin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lipkin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Black is surviving well by controlling Lipkin's body position as best he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Black tries to clinch there but Lipkin circles away.
Lipkin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Black can do to turn this around?

Lipkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lipkin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lipkin lands in his opponent's guard.
Lipkin advances to half guard.
Black is looking for a sweep. Lipkin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lipkin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Black!

Lipkin breaks from Black's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Black is working to get back to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Black is bucking up trying to escape but Lipkin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
BOOM! Lipkin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Black is squirming around, avoiding Lipkin's attempts to control the action.
Lipkin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

John Black has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lipkin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Black is looking to escape.

Lipkin tries to control but Black wriggling away.
Black is still in real trouble! Can Lipkin finish him?
Black tries to buck Lipkin off but he can't manage it.
Alexander Lipkin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Lipkin is landing with some decent strikes but Black is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Black seems to have recovered his senses.
Alexander Lipkin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lipkin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Black looks a forlorn figure.
