The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Martin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Martin moves into the clinch successfully.
Bird landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Bird manages to break the clinch.
Bird closes the distance looking to clinch
and Martin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Martin counters with a takedown into side control.
Martin laying and praying for a moment but Bird takes advantage and regains half guard.

Bird tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Martin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bird swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bird is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bird gets in close and instigates a clinch.
A knee to the head by Bird.
Martin takes an elbow to the temple.
Martin looking to slow down the pace here.
Martin wants to get back to striking at distance but Bird won't allow it.
Bird landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Martin is breathing heavily.
Martin is working for takedown but Bird is calmly controlling the position for now.
Bird connects with a nasty looking knee right to Martin's face.

Bird lands a nice elbow.
Bird creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Martin! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Bird.
