Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bekjan Askaraliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geeorges StPierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Askaraliev comes to the cage accompanied by Yerbolat- Men Kazakhpyn. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bekjan Askaraliev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Geeorges StPierre!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from StPierre is defended easily by Askaraliev.
StPierre closes the distance and clinches up with Askaraliev, looking for a takedown. StPierre pushes Askaraliev against the cage but Askaraliev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bekjan Askaraliev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geeorges StPierre.
StPierre shoots in for a double leg but Askaraliev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A momentary lapse in concentration from StPierre enables Askaraliev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. StPierre manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

StPierre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Askaraliev can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

StPierre has hold of Askaraliev's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Askaraliev manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

StPierre swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Askaraliev is now in StPierre's guard. A big mistake from StPierre there, giving up the dominant position!

Well StPierre has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
