The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Power fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Deps sprawls well initially but Power persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Power lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

It looks like Frederico Deps has been cut.
Deps looks like he's trying to stand up.
Power missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Power throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Deps is pressing down on Power's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Power shoots in looking for a takedown but Deps manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Power's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Power postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jimm Power will probably get the nod.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Power connects with a nice short shot to Deps's temple.
