The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a looping left.
Ricard is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Ricard doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jones counters with a big head kick but Ricard shrugs it off.
Jones lands a head kick. Ricard smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Ricard misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely.
Ricard throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely.
Ricard with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ricard shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ricard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ricard throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Ricard.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ricard throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Ricard.
Frank Ricard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ricard shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ricard shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Ricard's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ricard takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Ricard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones lands a jab to Ricard's midsection.
Jones's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jones duly obliges.

Ricard seems to have recovered his senses.
Whack! Jones lands a heavy head kick that drops Ricard. The ref tackles Jones to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Ricard was done.
