Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mongtong tried to score with a low kick but Woods checks it.
Woods shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mongtong but Mongtong pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Woods moves out of range of the strikes.
Woods fails to land the takedown.
Woods avoids a kick to the body.
Mongtong jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nice body kick there by Mongtong.
Woods tries a head kick but it misses.
Mongtong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Woods tries to clinch but Mongtong is having none of it.
Mongtong avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mongtong misses with a leg kick
and Woods counters by clinching up.
Woods goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mongtong prevents it.
Wong Mongtong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Woods.
Mongtong throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

A nice left hand lands by Mongtong.
Mongtong throws a head punch that misses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mongtong takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Mongtong manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Woods is trying to pull guard but Mongtong has him pressed against the cage.
Woods has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mongtong is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Woods manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mongtong looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Mongtong won't allow Woods to sweep him here.

We're going to have a standup here because Wong Mongtong wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

so Woods counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mongtong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Woods is controlling him.

Woods postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mongtong is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Woods, into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Woods drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Woods tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Woods has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Woods is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mongtong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Woods looking to secure an arm triangle but Mongtong defends it well.
Woods fails to move to back control.

Woods moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mongtong has worked his arm free - good work by Mongtong!
Woods thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mongtong is trying to control Woods's posture but Woods avoids it.
Jack Woods has got the better of the ground game so far.
Woods works to advance to full mount. Mongtong defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Mongtong prevents Woods from taking his back.
Woods looking to control but Mongtong is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
