The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Destruction darts in and clinches Carlos up against the cage.
Carlos is trying to drag Destruction to the mat but Destruction just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Carlos tries for a takedown but Destruction manages to get underhooks.

Destruction breaks the clinch.
Destruction keeps the fight on the outside.
Carlos ducks under a wild hook from Destruction.

and Destruction counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Carlos pulls Destruction into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Destruction lands a couple of digs.
Destruction won't allow Carlos to sweep him here.
Destruction working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Destruction postures up and lands a big shot to Carlos's brow.

Destruction makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Destruction keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Carlos's head.

Destruction is working Carlos over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Destruction lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Destruction gets to his feet and stands over Carlos, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Carlos felt that one! Destruction unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Carlos from any more punishment!
