The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cuervo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Cuervo duly obliges.
It looks like Birk Smygare has been cut.
Cuervo walks into a stiff left hand from Smygare.
Cuervo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smygare blocks a head kick by Cuervo.
Smygare fails in his attempt to clinch.
Some wild striking there from Smygare.
Smygare with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cuervo to score with a decent uppercut.
Smygare looks to land a combination but Cuervo avoids it well.
Nice body punch from Cuervo.
Smygare takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Smygare is rocked!
Jose Cuervo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smygare looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Smygare is still on wobbly legs! Can Cuervo finish him?
Cuervo connects with a nice looking jab.
Cuervo shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Smygare is on queer street and Cuervo is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
