The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golota throws a head kick that Madden semi-blocks.
Golota stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Golota wants it to stay on the feet.
Golota lands a leg kick that knocks Madden off balance momentarily.

Madden darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Left hook, right uppercut from Golota.
Madden on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Good leg kick by Golota there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Madden throws a body punch but Golota moves out of range.

Golota throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Madden stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Golota follows into mount!

Golota postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Madden out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Golota goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
