Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Adams throws a sloppy head kick and Thompson moves out of range easily.
Adams avoids the head kick by Thompson.
Thompson throws a sloppy head kick
and Adams counters with a low kick, right behind Thompson 's knee.
Adams stuffs the takedown.

Thompson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Adams's guard.
Adams looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thompson is one step ahead there.

Adams pushes Thompson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Adams throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Thompson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Thompson looks gassed!
Adams blocks a head kick by Thompson.
Some wild striking there from Adams.
Adams knocks Thompson to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

Thompson is rocked!

It looks like Stu Thompson has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thompson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Adams postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Adams working the ground and pound from side control.
Adams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thompson on the ground.
Thompson manages to get back to half guard.
Thompson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Thompson is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.
Thompson tries to roll over but Adams keeps him under control.
Thompson is pressing down on Adams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Thompson manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Thompson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Adams.
Stu Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adams misses with a wild combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Adams moves out of range as Thompson throws a body kick.
Thompson throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Adams crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
