Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaxon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dai Vernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Sunshine - (DMX). Vernon has chosen Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH as his entrance music. Jaxon Silva could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dai Vernon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaxon Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dai Vernon!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vernon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Silva has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Vernon checks a leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Silva.
Silva looks to land a left hand but Vernon moved out of range nicely.
Vernon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Vernon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Silva was covering up waiting for the punch and Vernon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vernon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Vernon advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Vernon sits in half guard.

Vernon is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva is looking to escape.

Silva tries to kick Vernon off in order to stand up. Vernon Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Vernon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Silva takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Vernon prevents Silva from escaping the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vernon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jaxon Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vernon bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Vernon scores a takedown into full mount!
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vernon on the ground.

Vernon has control of Silva's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silva regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Vernon is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Vernon is working for a guillotine from mount but Silva frees his head quite easily.
Vernon lands a nice shot to the head.
Vernon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silva looks a forlorn figure.
Silva tries to buck Vernon off but he can't manage it.
Vernon lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Silva hang on?

Vernon postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Silva in real trouble here! The ref calls for Silva to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
