Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dai Vernon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gjergj Kastrioti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vernon comes to the cage accompanied by Ari Gold - Let's Hug It Out, BITCH. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vernon misses with a looping right.
Good standup being displayed there by Vernon as he connects with a hook.
Kastrioti fails with a takedown attempt.
Kastrioti misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Vernon.
Kastrioti shoots in for a double leg but Vernon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Vernon misses with a straight left.
Kastrioti ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vernon moves away.
Vernon throws the kick towards the body but Kastrioti avoids it.
Kastrioti shoots in looking for a takedown. Vernon tries to sprawl out of it but Kastrioti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vernon manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dai Vernon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gjergj Kastrioti.

Vernon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kastriotis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Vernon has closed the distance and engaged Kastrioti in a clinch.

Kastrioti tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Vernon misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kastrioti has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vernon after a bit of a struggle.
Vernon lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kastrioti or not.

Vernon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Kastrioti backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Vernon here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kastrioti gets control of Vernon's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kastrioti will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Vernon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Vernon is bucking up trying to escape but Kastrioti cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Kastrioti postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Vernon in real trouble here! The ref calls for Vernon to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
