Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brett Appley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Pilgrim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Appley's entrance music is Headlines. A fine choice. Scott Pilgrim is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brett Appley has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Pilgrim is looking to clinch but Appley is avoiding it.
Appley tries to bum rush Pilgrim with a series of wild strikes but Pilgrim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Appley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Pilgrim must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brett Appley opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
