Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Birmiski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I'm Back - T.I. Stryker has chosen Go To Sleep as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stryker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Stryker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Birmiski takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Birmiski scores with a shot to the body.
Stryker checks the leg kick nicely there.
Stryker throws a hook but Birmiski blocks it.
Birmiski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stryker tries to clinch but Birmiski is having none of it.

Stryker misses with an uppercut. Birmiski saw that one coming.

Birmiski throws a sloppy head kick and Stryker moves out of range easily.

Birmiski moves into range and clinches up with Stryker.
Stryker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Stryker misses with a hook from the clinch.

Birmiski is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stryker can't fight it off and eventually Birmiski manages to take the fight to the floor. Stryker looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stryker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Stryker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Birmiski tries a head kick but it misses.

Stryker gets caught napping as Birmiski dives in and scores a takedown. Stryker manages to retain guard.
Stryker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Birmiski tries to free his leg and advance position but Stryker is retaining full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Birmiski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Birmiski looking to sit in guard and control but Stryker gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Birmiski has his foot on Stryker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stryker works his way back into a safe position though.
Birmiski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but Ari Birmiski did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
