Chankin has chosen medieval battle as his entrance music. Andre Chankin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aicrag leaves Chankin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chankin fails in his attempt to clinch.

Aicrag shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chankin is trying to defend but Aicrag finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Chankin has hold of Aicrag's hands but Aicrag slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aicrag looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chankin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Chankin wants to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aicrag connects with a nice short shot to Chankin's temple.

Aicrag is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Chankin is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Aicrag scores with a couple of nice shots.
Chankin is looking to escape.
Aicrag has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aicrag lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Chankin! More strikes land and this one is all over! Aicrag jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
