The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Earp throws a big shot that misses.
Earp swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Earp takes one to the chin there.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Earp sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Smith misses with a wild body shot.
Earp tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith misses with a body shot.
Earp throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Earp misses with a hook
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith lands a head shot.
Earp scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Earp slips under a jab.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Earp tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith throws a leg kick that misses.
Earp thuds his right hand into Smith's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Earp connects with an inside leg kick.
Smith looks gassed!
Earp fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Earp lands a jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Earp drops Smith with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Smith! Earp dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
