Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Van Dam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Dam's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, C R E A M By The Wu-Tang Clan. Battle has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Andre Battle told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Battle.
Van Dam throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Battle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Battle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Van Dam to the mat! Van Dam manages to get full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Battle lands a big shot there that rocks Van Dam but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Battle won't let Van Dam get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Van Dam's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
