The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Rex KwonDo has been cut.
KwonDo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bean.
Bean checks a low kick from KwonDo.
Bean lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Bean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bean is trying to break the clinch but KwonDo has him pressed against the cage.

KwonDo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
KwonDo slips under a jab.
KwonDo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

KwonDo shoots in for a takedown but Bean shows good takedown defense.
Rex KwonDo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

KwonDo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

KwonDo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bean but Bean pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
KwonDo fails to pull the fight into his guard.

KwonDo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bean was well out of range. Poor timing from KwonDo.

KwonDo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bean goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
KwonDo tries for a takedown but Bean sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Butter Bean is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bean tries to close the distance and clinch but KwonDo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bean feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits KwonDos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

That has opened up Rex KwonDo's cut even more.

Bean tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but KwonDo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
KwonDo fails to land the takedown.

KwonDo is trying desperately to land a takedown but Bean is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for KwonDo.
Bean lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bean stuns KwonDo with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bean takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
KwonDo fails to land with a series of punches.

Bean scores with a one two! KwonDo had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
KwonDo misses with a kick to the body

KwonDo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bean swivels and escapes.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bean stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

KwonDo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
KwonDo shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bean doesn't manage to clinch there - KwonDo circles away.
KwonDo throws a sloppy head kick and Bean moves out of range easily.
KwonDo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
