The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alkofer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alkofer.
Chabib dodges the punch combination from Alkofer.
Alkofer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Chabib shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Alkofer sprawls well. Alkofer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chabib gets slowly back to his feet.
Alkofer scores with a hook to the body. Chabib takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Alkofer lands the left hand.

Chabib misses with a takedown attempt - Alkofer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Alkofer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Chabib shoots in looking for a takedown. Alkofer tries to sprawl out of it but Chabib keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alkofer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Alkofer tries to bum rush Chabib with a series of wild strikes but Chabib uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Alkofer fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chabib looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chabib fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chabib dodges the punch combination from Alkofer.
Alkofer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Chabib back to the cage. Alkofer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Alkofer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alkofer.
Alkofer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
