The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black lands a lovely overhand right.
Sproule dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Black fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sproule scores with a leg kick.

Black closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sproule makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Black breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Black looks to land a combination but Sproule avoids it well.
James Sproule seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black avoids a punch combination nicely.

Oooooh!!! Sproule has knocked Black down with a huge combo! Sproule steps away and waves a wobbly Black back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Rick Black has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Black is looking to score with low kicks.

Sproule drops Black with a beautiful combination! Black stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Sproule is looking for the KO!

Black slips a jab and a cross from Sproule.
Oh Black is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sproule throws an overhand right that has Black reeling! Sproule follows up with more punches and Black is out cold! This one is all over!
