PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Angola Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bob might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Im Too Sexy. Volkov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Trooper by Iron Maiden. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Angola Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Vincent Volkov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Bob swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bob uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Volkov.
Bob slips a jab and a cross from Volkov.
Volkov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bob counters with a nice leg kick.
Volkov throws a hook but Bob avoids it easily.
Bob does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bob takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Angola Bob has been cut.
Bob steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Volkov.
Nice shot lands for Bob.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Volkov scores with a nice strike.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Volkov misses with a kick to the body.
Angola Bob is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bob lands with a right hand.
Volkov misses with a body shot.
Volkov jabs at Bob's body.
Bob scores with a jab to the head.
Bob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bob throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bob lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Volkov has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Volkov and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Bob counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Volkov thinking.
Bob blocks the body kick.
Bob checks a leg kick nicely.
Bob throws a leg kick that misses.
Volkov looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Volkov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bob back to the cage. Volkov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Bob is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Volkov throws a pinpoint strike between Bob's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Bob crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Volkov scores a great knockout victory!
