The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lovell throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bundy slaps away a takedown attempt from Lovell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lovell fails with a takedown attempt.
Bundy misses the shot to the body.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bundy checks a leg kick.
Bundy just misses with a punch to the body.
Bundy thuds a left hand into Lovell's body.
Lovell slips a jab from Bundy.
Bundy steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Lovell. That one must have hurt.
Bundy scores with a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lovell throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lovell shoots in but no luck this time.
Black Belt Bundy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Lovell.

Lovell closes the distance and clinches.
Lovell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Bundy avoids the elbow strike from Lovell, against the cage.
Bundy tries to break the clinch but Lovell is controlling the position.

Bundy blocks the elbow strike.
Lovell lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Bundy backwards.
Lovell keeps control of Bundy as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Bundy lands a right hand.
Bundy is trying to force a seperation but Lovell has the dominant position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bundy.

Bundy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bundy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bundy misses with an uppercut.

Bundy gets a double leg takedown into Lovell's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bundy creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Bundy tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Bundy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bundy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lovell gets back to half guard.
Bundy misses with a head shot. Lovell uses the momentum to regain guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bundy landing some decent shots from guard.
Bundy is pushing down on Lovell's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lovell is fighting to maintain full guard but Bundy has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Bundy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lovell tries to clinch up but Bundy circles away and keeps his distance.
Bundy looks for a takedown but Lovell sprawls well.
Lovell shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Lovell decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bundy is trying to maintain the position but Lovell is very close to passing his half guard.
Bundy wants to get back to full guard.
Bundy regains full guard. Nicely done.

Lovell postures up.
Bundy is really struggling to control Lovell but he's trying to hold on to the position.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Bundy here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Lovell tries to free his leg and advance position but Bundy is retaining full guard.

Bundy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lovell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bundy is tightening it up a little... Lovell has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lovell reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lovell taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bundy!
