PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rennet Greyven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Monster as his entrance music. David Brown told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

With a record of 24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Brown!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greyven misses with a few strikes there.
Greyven misses the shot to the body.
Greyven fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brown throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Greyven lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Greyven turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Greyven feints and then cracks Brown's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Brown down.
Greyven connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Greyven looks to land a left hand but Brown moved out of range nicely.

Greyven uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brown has time to react.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Greyven here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brown is on top in guard.

Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Greyven tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Greyven to the ground. Greyven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
