The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McQuail.

Davis darts in and clinches McQuail up against the cage.
McQuail is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
McQuail is looking to control Davis's arms but Davis gets an underhook and turns him. Now McQuail has his back to the cage.

McQuail scores with a takedown into Davis's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
McQuail stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Davis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McQuail. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

McQuail is looking for a kimura but Davis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McQuail to get the leverage.

McQuail has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Davis defend it? McQuail steps over the head and cranks it - Davis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for McQuail!
