And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Constantin Bejenaru!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bejenaru closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kirkpatrick quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bejenaru seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kirkpatrick does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Still in half guard, Bejenaru seems content to control.

Bejenaru is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kirkpatrick has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bejenaru is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kirkpatrick sees it coming and defends easily.

Bejenaru is trying to work for a kimura but Kirkpatrick is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bejenaru is looking for a kimura but Kirkpatrick is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bejenaru to get the leverage.

Bejenaru seems to be looking for submissions.
Kirkpatrick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bejenaru on the ground.
Kirkpatrick wants to improve his position but Bejenaru is controlling well.
Kirkpatrick is not content to let Bejenaru control the position.

Bejenaru is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bejenaru is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bejenaru is keen to just control but Kirkpatrick is a slippery customer.

Bejenaru is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kirkpatrick to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kirkpatrick shrugs it off.
Bejenaru tries to control but Kirkpatrick wriggling away.

Bejenaru swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
