Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas De Franca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nicholas De Franca has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nicholas De Franca seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John McMillan!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McMillan looks for a takedown but De Franca sprawls well.
McMillan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
De Franca is trying to get back to full guard.
De Franca tries to kick McMillan off but McMillan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
McMillan throwing shots but De Franca is blocking nicely.

McMillan throws a strike but De Franca avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
De Franca preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
McMillan got a little sloppy there for a moment and De Franca has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McMillan has managed to get both his arms back between De Franca's legs - danger averted.
McMillan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

McMillan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Franca works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McMillan thows a huge punch but De Franca dodges it nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McMillan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
De Franca is trying to stand up here but McMillan is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McMillan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks De Franca with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McMillan connects with a nice short shot to De Franca's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

De Franca is breathing heavily.

De Franca is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McMillan pulls his head out easily.

McMillan working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
De Franca is rocked!
McMillan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Oh De Franca is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McMillan lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked De Franca! More strikes land and this one is all over! McMillan jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
