Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Toni Presidio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Cardona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardona fails to land the takedown.
Presidio misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cardona is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Presidio.

and Cardona counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cardona .

Presidio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Presidio tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Cardona dives in and scores a takedown into Presidio's guard.

Cardona is looking to stand up but Presidio won't let him.

Cardona wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Presidio, who protects the arm well.

Presidio is not content to let Cardona control the position.
Cardona tries to score with some ground and pound. Presidio controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Cardona advances to full mount.
Presidio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cardona on the ground.

Presidio has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cardona is working away from the top position though.

Cardona is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cardona slips a nice elbow through Presidio's hands, connecting with Presidio's forehead.

Cardona is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Presidio is just riding it out for now. Cardona eventually gives up the hold.

Presidio holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Presidio is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cardona 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cardona 's back!

Presidio has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Cardona has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Presidio shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cardona sprawls well. Cardona wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Presidio gets slowly back to his feet.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Presidio is working an open guard so Cardona takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Toni Presidio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Presidio closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cardona to the mat! Cardona manages to get full guard.
