The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Gracy with that takedown attempt.
Marteau pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gracy back to the cage. Marteau follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Marteau misses with a jab, cross combination.
Gracy shoots in for a takedown but Marteau shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Marteau pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gracy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Marteau rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marteau connects with a high kick.

Marteau moves into the clinch successfully.
Marteau is trying to push Gracy away but Gracy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Marteau has had enough of the clinch but Gracy keeps him there for the moment.
Marteau wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gracy has him pressed against the cage.
Marteau tries to break free but Gracy pushes him back against the cage.

Marteau escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Marteau! Gracy is out on his feet! Marteau rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Gracy is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Gracy is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
