The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Itch doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Trent Severn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Itch takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Itch tries to score a power double leg takedown but Severn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Itch somewhat.
Severn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Itch.
Severn scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Itch doesn't seem bothered though.

Severn throws a head kick but Itch moves out of range.

A slow jab from Severn misses its intended target.
Itch will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Itch drops his hands momentarily and Severn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Severn tries to bum rush Itch with a series of wild strikes but Itch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Severn clinches up with Itch and pushes him back against the cage.
Itch ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Itch no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Severn throws a big elbow that misses.
Itch trying to keep a closed guard but Severn is proving a slippery customer.
Itch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Severn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Severn just content to control the position.
Let's hope that Severn has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The ground and pound from Severn seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Severn taking a break here but Itch is having none of it and regains half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Severn drops Itch with a big left hand! Itch is injured, injured bad! Severn jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
