Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuel Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Derric Rose!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Rose counter with a right hand.
Stone slips under a jab.
Stone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Derric Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rose bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Stone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rose.
Rose cracks Stone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Rose lands with a good body shot.
Stone takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Stone shoots for a takedown but Rose saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stone uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rose.

Rose is not content to let Stone control the position.

Stone throws an elbow but Rose slips to the side and avoids it well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rose manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Rose takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That was a close round but I would say that Samuel Stone will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rose feints a jab promting Stone to slip. Rose then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Stone slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Rose uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nice uppercut lands for Rose. That snapped Stone's head back.
Rose throws out a powerful jab.
Rose has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Rose stuffs the takedown.
Stone keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rose.
A left and a right from Rose both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Samuel Stone has been cut.
Rose smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rose lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rose throws the left hand but Stone avoids the punch easily.
Rose might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Stone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rose can do anything to dispel that myth.

Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Derric Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A control attempt from Rose but he's now mounted!
Rose is trying desperately to improve position.
Stone postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rose looks a forlorn figure.
Rose is in a horrible position here. Stone smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Stone! Rose is out cold! This one is all over!
