The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakai misses with a wild body shot.
Nakai shoots in looking for a takedown but The Random manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nakai's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The Random feints and then cracks Nakai's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nakai down.

The Random is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nakai closes the distance and clinches up with The Random, looking for a takedown. Nakai pushes The Random against the cage but The Random circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The Random breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The Random throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Nakai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The Random manages to avoid it.
Nakai throws a half hearted mid kick.
The Random throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

The Random connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Nakai fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Random, pushing him back against the cage.
The Random tries to break free but Nakai pushes him back against the cage.
Nakai has The Random pressed against the cage, preventing The Random from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Nakai is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. The Random can't fight it off and eventually Nakai manages to take the fight to the floor. The Random looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
