PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sith One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Another Trashcan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trashcan has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Another Trashcan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trashcan throws a shot from downtown. One moves away and avoids it.
One shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trashcan sprawls well. Trashcan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. One gets slowly back to his feet.
One looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trashcan is fending him off so far but One persists. Nope, Trashcan circles away and we're back to standing.
Trashcan misses the jab.
Trashcan looks gassed!
One throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trashcan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
One shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Trashcan as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sith One. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Trashcan misses with an uppercut. One saw that one coming.
One misses with an uppercut. Trashcan saw that one coming.
One will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
One is looking to clinch.

Another Trashcan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trashcan misses with a hook.

One lands a big right hand that sends Trashcan crashing to the mat! One stays standing though and waves Trashcan back to his feet!

It looks like Another Trashcan has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Another Trashcan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
One fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
One fails to land with a series of punches.
One looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trashcan is fending him off so far but One persists. Nope, Trashcan circles away and we're back to standing.
One throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Trashcan's waist but Trashcan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing One off to one side.
Trashcan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from One.

One sends Trashcan crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! One is motioning to the referee to let Trashcan up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

One misses with an uppercut. Trashcan saw that one coming.
Trashcan is still on wobbly legs! Can One finish him?

One closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Trashcan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

One successfully pulls guard.

One is looking to sinch up a triangle. Trashcan throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to One's body to avoid the submission. One has instead reached around Trashcan's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! One arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
