The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokovtsov thuds a left hand into Poddubny's body.
Kokovtsov pivots, looking for a leg kick but Poddubny is out of range and Kokovtsov settles back down.
Poddubny drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Poddubny gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kokovtsov.

Poddubny fails with a takedown attempt.

Kokovtsov stuffs the takedown attempt from Poddubny. Poddubny gets slowly back to his feet.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Kokovtsov has cracked Poddubny with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Kokovtsov lands another huge swinging hook and Poddubny tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Poddubny, before Kokovtsov can land any more shots!
