PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Corey Minor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bushi Llewtras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bushi Llewtras!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Llewtras throws a sloppy head kick and Minor moves out of range easily.
Llewtras misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Minor circles away from the clinch attempt

and Minor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Minor stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Minor closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Llewtras quickly recovers to half guard.

Llewtras kicks Minor off and gets back to his feet.
Llewtras darts in trying to clinch

and Minor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Llewtras's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Minor forces his way into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Llewtras is looking for a sweep. Minor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Minor uses his free foot to push down on Llewtras's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Llewtras.

Minor avoids the attempt from Llewtras to control.
Llewtras looks gassed!

The referee warns Llewtras that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Llewtras is bucking up trying to escape but Minor cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Minor cracks Llewtras with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Llewtras is rocked!
Minor lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Llewtras is still in real trouble! Can Minor finish him?
Minor postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Llewtras out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Minor goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
